BIOGRAPHY
"Do not look at your problems through yourself, but face your problems through Jesus. You may think that your problem is bad, but there is someone going through worse than you’re going through. You need to fall down on your knees and cry out to Jesus, and just let go and let God."
-Kenneth Day Jr.
Kenneth Jerome Day Jr. was born in January 1976. Kenneth’s father has a God given gift, and he was blessed to have studied under Dr. Mattie Moss Clark. His father taught them in areas from music to singing. He and his siblings were anointed for greatness. From that very anointed time, he played the drums professionally. As time went on, Kenneth joined the band at school. In the band, he took interest in the keyboard and the bass guitar. He eventually learned to play all of these instruments expertly. The group ‘The Day Brothers’ was formed by his father during Kenneth’s early teen years. He and his four brothers sang at churches from city to city whenever the time presented itself. Kenneth graduated from Miami Killian High School in 1994. He went on to study music at Bethune Cookman University before transferring to Miami Dade Community College. He formerly held the position of one of the lead singers of the legendary C Lord C’s of Miami, FL. He was also one of the lead singers of the Heavenly Lites of Miami, FL. Kenneth went through some tough times. These times took him to the point of suicide. He tried with three separate failed attempts. While in that state of mind, it was the voice of God that spoke to him and said “You are here for a purpose”. From this point in his life, he knew he was kept here for a reason. Out of this place, he knew that he was broken for God’s purpose. In 2013, God birthed his first CD “The Break of Day” out of his testimony so that he could share with others. His second CD “Still Praying” was released in 2016. Kenneth believes in using every gift God had given him, including singing, songwriting, acting, stand-up comedy, and serving as master of ceremony.
He began his career in acting in 2007 under the direction of Sylvia Woods.
